Born in Ningbo City， Zhejiang Province in 1946， Zhang Yabing has been fond of arts since an early age and graduated from China Academy of Art with the major of sculpture. Now he is a national firstlevel artist， member both of Zhejiang Artists Association and Zhejiang Sculptor Association etc. He devoted himself to the research of water lilies for more than 20 years， achieving impressive outcomes. Besides， he also held many solo exhibitions and published several collections.

張亚冰，1946年10月生于宁波镇海。自幼酷爱艺术，60年代开始学习雕塑、雕刻、中西绘画，后进入中国美术学院雕塑系，毕业后在《西湖》和《山海经》杂志从事美术编辑十余年。

其间，张亚冰研究中国水墨、油画与色彩，博取中外大师的精华，结合自己专业特质，融合雕塑、中国水墨特性，采用刮刀代笔造型手法直接写生创作，创造出凝重、明快、生动的 “画布上雕塑感” 的个人风格。特别是近20年来他专注于对睡莲的研究，中国教育台曾专题播出《睡莲守望者》。作品入选上海人民美术出版社出版的《中国油画100年》，相继在《美术报》《世界美术报》《亚洲美术》等刊物发表。2005年在福建省美术馆举办个人大型油画展，先后在杭州西湖孤山林社举办个人西湖油画展，在上海三唐美术馆等举办个人油画展。2008年创作油画专题《印象桐庐》。

现为国家一级美术师、浙江省美术协会会员、浙江省雕塑家协会会员。
